Some time back, a few of us were out in the desert near Ghost Ranch, making a record we called Buffalo Blood. We’d go out with cameras and instruments and microphones slung over our shoulders and hike to some remote location and make a field recording.
This is one of my favorite photos ever taken by the mighty Jim DeMain during that trip. I think he had an album cover in mind when he took it. What do you think?
