Outdoor wrestling at the Nashville Fair. Crescent moon in the sky. Too dark to shoot with the lens I had going but I think the silhouettes made them feel like giants. I spent my childhood renting and re-renting the Wrestling pay per view VHS tapes from the 80s and 90s.
Gravel Road.
I stayed up till 4am making a weird camera box out of a 60s Kodak so I could meet my friends at 5:30 AM to shoot the sunrise. A large portion of the night involved googling "what to do if I superglue my fingers together" while trying avoid also gluing my fingers to my keyboard. Here was my first shot of the day which helped me forget the sleepless night.
Sunrise.
I went with my friends Neilson and Jim looking for some foggy sunrise pics. I made an weird camera box out of string and old 60s kodak viewfinders. This one is styled after some drawings I saw in Shanghai, China in the old Shanghai Museum that were from hundreds to thousands of years ago. This was taken in Tennessee.
Man and Nature
Man and Nature
I took this photo from a boat on the lake near my house. Crazy blue skies were out. Floated up to this big electricity tower and I thought of my grandfathers story of living before electricity and watching chickens through the floorboards. I have never seen where these big blue herons nest before. Pretty incredible sight. Hundreds of carp floating underneath. Each fish was as big as a child from eating the ..... you know what. little ecosystem of giant birds and fish happening right there.
